Kinesiologists share CHANGE experiences at OKA’s Professional Development Summit in Waterloo

CHANGE program kinesiologists Debbie Valadao, R. Kin (Halton-Peel area) and Derek Ditner, R. Kin (Brockton and Area Family Health Team) attended the Ontario Kinesiology Association’s professional development summit on May 4th 2019.

With support from OKA, both Debbie & Derek represented Metabolic Syndrome Canada and shared some of the work they have been doing in the CHANGE Program with other kinesiologists and health professionals in attendance. There was great interest in the role of the Kinesiologist in the program, the CHANGE program itself and which family health teams are currently providing this program in Ontario.

Partnerships with like minded professionals and organizations allow us the opportunity to continue to share our work and share resources among the healthcare community with the goal of improving healthcare services all across Canada.
