CHANGE Program visionary presents at Canadian Nutrition Society conference

On January 16, Dr. Jeejeebhoy presented“The CHANGE Program: A Novel Diet and Exercise Intervention to Reverse Metabolic Syndrome” at the Canadian Nutrition Society’s one-day thematic conference, Advances in Nutrition and Metabolic Syndrome.

As a leading expert in the interaction between nutrition and disease, Dr. Jeejeebhoy is the visionary health professional behind Metabolic Syndrome Canada and its CHANGE Program. Dr. Jeejeebhoy discussed the need for an evidence- and team-based lifestyle intervention program in primary care and review how the CHANGE Program works, including initial results from a recent feasibility study.

The Canadian Nutrition Society / la Société canadienne de nutrition (CNS/SCN) promotes nutrition science and education, and advocates for the application of best practices and policies for the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of disease. At the thematic conference in January, delegates heard the latest information on the role of diet in metabolic syndrome.

In addition to Dr. Jeejeebhoy’s presentation, Metabolic Syndrome Canada was on hand to provide further details and answer delegates’ questions.
