CHANGE Program Preliminary Findings Win Université Laval Award
Dr. Caroline Rhéaume, a principal investigator in the CHANGE Program feasbility study at Université Laval in Québec City, presented preliminary findings at the 9th Scientific Congress of Université Laval’s Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
240 participants attended the sold-out annual two-day conference, which included 30 continuing education workshops on the general theme of 40 years of history of education, especially for family medicine as emergency medicine.
Dr. Rhéaume, a primary care physician at Family Medicine Unit Laval, as well as assistant professor and clinical researcher at Université Laval, won the Carrefour Innovation and Communication Prize for Teachers for her presentation, “Lifestyle modification program in patients with metabolic syndrome: Preliminary results of the CHANGE study.” Dr. Rhéaume is responsible of the CHANGE research project of family medicine residents.
